dont rush into buying anything though,
sounds like your convinced on an SV so look around ... MCN, autotrader, gumtree even
take your time and the right bike will come along

also SV is better than a kwaka.

Your right, im abit of an impuls buyer.

I'll see one on ebay and think "Yes thats the one!", thinking that there will never be another one up for sale...

Thats i'll take a look around - test isn't till the end of the month anyway.

I also think it's the fact my NSR is still in the garage getting fixed so have nothing to ride atm to take my mind of the SV

dw my test is 14th of this month, and i bought my sv almost 4 months ago ....( its plotting to make me unhappy by looking good and shiny ) and my 125 is now the size of a small tv thanks to the friendly lorry driver who "didnt see me" so i know your pain.

look for ones not to far away and go have a look at them
you may see adds saying slight scratches then see it and its been thrown along the road. so always look in person.

just resist the urge until your sure.

Dam, how were you after the accident?

Mine hasn't been crashed. I got my NSR from Auto trader ( all done over the phone as he was 300miles away ). Got it and it's seemed ok...

Started to smell petrol in the house from the garage and took it in - turned out there was a lot of faults ( steering head bearings/fork seals etc ). Then it kept cutting out and then wouldn't start. Now it sometimes starts but stalls in first gear. The bike cost me £1000 and i've spent about £420 on repairs ( not including the bill i'll get for it being in the garage atm ).

So i'm defo going to try find one locally (200miles) and go and view before i buy.

4month before your test - how did you cope lol!

LOL within 200 miles???

I'd set a distance of 30 miles.... if there isn't a decent one, wait a week, there will always be SV's out there!

6 weeks ina cast ....come out whiter than the milky bar kid !
all good now though thank you.

your situation is the perfect example then ... at least you know what to look out for when you go for the sv.
just get the test out of the way then youve got all the time in the world.

its the 8th wonder of the world .....abandoned industrial estates, how i love them.
