My OH had a Yamaha YBR125 before she bought the Bandit. It was an import spec so it had the bikini fairing. Fantastic machine, and exactly right for her to learn on between lessons.

The thing about the YBR / CG etc is that they are brilliant to learn on and really cheap. Claire's cost £1400 brand new. The bad thing is that they aren't exactly good for street cred or exciting. But thats not the point.

There is less plastic to replace if you have a mishap than on a CBR/YZF/RS.

Having said all that, if its CBR you want, then go buy it. Bikes are supposed to be fun after all!

Kate's CG copy will be for sale in September when she takes her test.

Tis a Qinqui Storm RS125 and it'll be on the market for £550 - £600.

Has done her proud and was probably the best bike for her to learn her wares on.

The Look???
You don't have to be a fat bloke in a leather waistcoat and a condom for a helmet!

But she had the torque to pull me along so she could deal with a very fat bloke! he he.

Its a brilliant machine tho. so if anyone else is interested PM me.

No, there's the alternative of "accountant having a mid-life crisis".

She served me well. excellent commuter, very cheap to run. Will do 70/75 so short stints on motorway were ok.

Is it just me or does that recomendation not make sense
Every RS125 I've heard has sounded pretty hairdryer like

And as for only acceptable bikes under 400cc being two-strokes.. what about the new Ninja 250 (Yes I know you need to pass your test to ride one, but that's not my point)

Pah. I did my test on a TZR, that had a steering circle like the Exxon Valdez.

YBR125.

Free insurance at the moment aswell, so after the cost of a new one at 1900, you save from the insurance to make it worth it.

Fantastic little machine, mine went alright upto 60 odd, fun to ride, easy to work on, built pretty well. Covered over 4500 miles in about 8 months on mine - No complaints really after getting rid of the rubbish stock tyres, and that only cost 80 quid in total for some Mic' pilot sports to be fitted.

Got 1300 PX for mine,57 plate with minor drop marks (Body/paint fine), and that was after just a little cosmetic tidy up on the downpipe/can and little bits costing less than 20 quid over all. Even after being rode all winter.

Almost miss it...

...Wait, nah. The SVs filled the void
