I just watched Episode 1 on iPlayer, I thought it was ace! The quality of TV programmes nowadays is dismal, the only good things on are the Long Way type stuff, Top Gear and Ray Mears (may his name be praised ). These guys actually get out of their living rooms and do interesting stuff with passion and friendliness. Beats the hell out of Coronation street.

lol guys. I don't watch 'bore the nation street' or any of the drivel in that vein. I just honestly thought that sometimes with these sort of programmes, you can get too much of a good thing, they are good to watch i don't argue with that, its just the more that get churned out, the more they get less interesting...anyone get me?

Hell guys calm down, calm down! I'll be watching next week just to see the pair of clowns getting safely across the channel. Nailbiting stuff, lol.

Nah seriously.... It's fine sunday evening TV fodder. At least they seem genuinely enthusiastic about the whole situation. It's essentially a travelogue, so the bit in the UK isn't necessarily the most exciting part....i hope. They could have easily copped out and started in the London lock-up again like LWR, but no, starting at his house in Wicklow gives it a nice "this could be anyone of us" feel.

Should be a decent show. Keep it up.

Oh yeah, really nice Trumpet Charlie!

Read or heard somewhere that someone was offering a long way round trip. What an adventure if you could afford it - heard cost was £29k

I know what you mean, what Ewan and Charlie did on the bikes was a different and fab thing thats not been aired on telly before (to the best of my knowledge anyway lol) so more of the same may start to bore people, novelty wearing off and all that #shrug#

I however am miffed I missed it and so will be watching it on iplayer lol.

It seems to "be cool" to slag CB off at the moment. Every bike mag seems to want to have a snipe and people seem to just jump on the bandwagon. He's just another biker like the rest of us who happens to have a famous mate/got a good break and now goes on adventure travels where others pay for it (notably the BBC).

I would much rather see my licence fee spent on this than the next reality show/x-idol spin off.

Keep up keeping riding bikes in the public domain.

I dont think anyone will ever get you Dizzy.

I understand what you are saying though. I think thats why the twist of doing it different is a cool one. It seems very watchable.
