I just don't understand why people go for this sort of advice to a bike forum? I am glad you are qualified to do give advice. But am not sure everyone here is? I certainly am not, hence saying go and speak to someone qualified as incorrect administartion of insulin can kill/cause a serious health hazards.

That's the only thing I tried to say.

No worries, sorry i was really tired last night and misunderstood

thanx for advice.

Dave - I asked on here as I know there are a few insulin dependant diabetics on here. I have my dosage all sorted it was mainly just the bum query. Diabetic nurse said upper arms can get sore, stomach is ok, thighs ok anywhere you can pinch an inch really. I can certainly pinch an inch on my bum but it was really sore afterwards and had a bruise. Was just wanting to know if this was usual or I had just done it wrong.

Im back at clinic on Monday but didnt want to bother them by phoning and asking as its not really important and have just been doing in stomach and thighs today.

got scan today and all is well - baby weighs 1lb 6 oz already only 23 weeks. Might be a jumbo one - again.

anyway im away to shoot up again. have a nice weekend everyone.

it's a sort of long-range blood glucose test, they'll do it at your clinics to judge your overall control. They used to call it the lie-detector at the sick kids But right now if they do one it'll give the results from before you got medicated, so it'll probably be mad.

oh they did that at the hospital and said it was ok - 5.9. my problem is my blood sugars an hour and a half after eating. If they get too high and stay high, the baby produces more insulin to cope. The other day they were 5.8 before breakfast and 9.3 afterwards. Insulin seems to be working today - 5.1 before breakfast and 7.3 after.
