I don't get the pegs down, the back end is jacked up and I have rearsets, but I do get my toes on the floor.

Bad - Not worth doing on the road, you are most likely approaching that corner for the first time that day and you do not know what is there waiting for you...

Once in last 6yrs on the road. Brief grind of hero-blob, maybe 40mph tops. Never on SV. Never hang off either. All my boots are a bit fecked from dragging on roundabouts, but thats just a bad style/habit.

Track, I could spend all day grinding bits. I was too lazy too hang off, and I knew it looked cool as feck if you were following somebody and they were grinding a big arc on the tarmac. Really satisfying if not ultimately fastest way. You really feel you are RIGHT over. Ok , I was on a 44bhp(dyno'ed) RC31 so there was feck all fun on the straight bits. Peg/centrestand/exhaust. Chaff city!

All good!

Pegs down depends on peg ground clearance but I would not do it deliberately on the public highway as the surface is so unpredictable, where as on track it is normally good and even-----------SV on track with track tyres easy peasy-----thats why you fit rear sets 636 Kwak with rear sets on get ready to pick yourself off the tarmac.
You must really leave yourself a bit more safety margin when riding the public highway

Far too dangerous to do on the road on a sports bike with decent ground clearance. If I saw someone do it unintentionally on a rideout I'd think they were a bit of a liability.

If I ride the Dullsville in any way other than sedate the pegs WILL be scraping the ground. Does that mean you would see me as a liability? Like I said at the start. It depends on the bike your riding, your riding style and so much more.

My pegs aren't rearsets but they are less wide than regular pegs and I'd say I have about an inch and a half of clearance. They only scrape barely at a very heavy lean angle (whereby I was lifting my knee up to get more speed) so I know I'm at about the limit.

I was refering to modern sports bikes with decent clearance. Based upon on the speed, lean angle and curvature of the road required to scrape a peg leaves virtually no room for error on a public road.

Ah I see. Sorry my mind reading skills failed me there for a minute. But it does validate my point.

Good - If you do it regular and know when to expect it.

Naughty- When you also touch the side stand/rear brake pedal.

Bad - Catching the gear lever and hitting a false neutral mid corner!

not done it on the SV on the road, but not done a trackday yet...

done it on the KTM on track many times, fitted nylon sliders to stop them digging into the surface, but i've just fitted ti sliders to me MX boots so call me sparky marky
