Do the DVLA give out keeper details to parking firms?

Correct but it was only mentioned about removing the plate, not where so if it was on the public highway or a council car park it could get removed, if a private car park then there's no comeback. ISTR some vehicle offences e.g. drink driving can be pursued if on land the public have access to (car park, garage forecourt etc) but I'm pretty sure vehicle licencing offences don't fall into that category (although I've seen a few council run car parks which specify a valid excise licence being displayed as a condition of parking). And BTW... what the **** happened to the data protection act if any Tom, **** or Harry can buy your details for £2.50? It costs a company £3000 to be registered with the DVLA the £2.50 for each number plate they run!!

Only need to be SIA if they're clamping and towing, anybody can issue tickets!

I have had tickets in the local hospital car park, I simply throw them in the bin. The company issuing the tickets there don't have any right to demand payment, they simply request it. I'm not in a charitable mood when I get a ticket, so I don't pay.
