How about the KTM Duke 3? Less ****ing ugly, bit more power I think, better road manners.

I'd love a street triple if it had more of an upper fairing. I'm seriously thinking about trading off the 650 for a thou' and putting on the top yoke/bars off a naked thou'.

Someone on the KTM forum has offered me an 07 SM for £3400 which is silly money. It would have been more tempting had it not been on the South coast.

yeah, its done 6k in a year and he's the 2nd owner having owned it since April. He's trying to sell as he's upping sticks and needs a tourer for a longer commute.

hmm, possibly but the fact its had 2 owners in a year and 6k mileage softens the blow somewhat. New can be picked up for about £4400 and theres a couple around the £4k mark with just over 1k on them. I know a grand cheaper is cheap but if I find I dont like it (never ridden one and would really like to test ride the other 2 for comparison) it might not shift as easy I initially thought it would (thinking it was 1 owner, really daft low mileage etc)
