I considered getting a belly pan and doing a very small version of the logo I posted on it to denote 1 'kill'. A bit like bombers used to do to show how many runs they'd been on.

Do pedestrians count? It's good fun aiming for them ... they keep jumping out of way though.

Out of interest, does anyone know of any successful cases of prosecution against a landowner where there the deer are encouraged/looked after to some extent when "their" deer take you out? I know you can claim against dog owners whose pets have you off and I believe there's now a case law precedent to prevent farmers from shunning all resposnsibility when their horse leaps their ridiculously low fence into the path of your car, etc.

wow only just read this thread...lol...patches yeah, a very elite club isn't it. Its amazing how you manage to hang on Heros, I did, and hardly a spot on the bike damaged..until I found out that.......(will explain shortly). They certainly go bang with some clout. Felt like I'd hit a train, I was doing 60 though. How fast were you going?? mind you it doesn't take much. Hats off for staying on!

Highly doubt it, tis mostly about you being in the wrong place at the wrong time Animal's still wild, farmer's aren't wholly responsible for them so they'd no doubt use that against you.

DB's not the only Bambi-killer then, watch out Lou, you've got competition!

Glad you managed to come out ok after the collision though Heros, risky business indeed.

Glad your ok mate...wild animals and road kill can be every bikers nightmare when they spring out from nowhere.
Only a couple of weeks back i was going past D1ck Turpins roadside cafe near Gisburn, when i went to overtake a ford fiesta, at the time was probably doing 110ish,when i got near the fiesta he indicated left which i thought was to be curtious to let me pass,as i got level at the side of him a pheasant appeared from nowhere walking across the road strutting it's funky stuff.I had absolutely no time to react & probably must have decapitated it as the bike did.nt budge an inch(i think if i'd gone over it's plump breast(oo-er)i might not be posting this now),stopped a little further down the road to find my front wheel looking more like a peacocks tail(feathers everywhere.)

I was lucky, only today i read in the Daily Mirror about a biker who was killed by a pheasant which flew into his head while riding & fataly sent him off his bike.
