I do agree though about decorations going up too early. We are going to have to break our own rule this year and Rudolph up before December as the Bottesford Toy Run is on the 30th November. Only one day early though

I remember Christmas as a child in south London in the 1960s. I wish I couldn't because it wasn't very happy

Still that was a long time ago and I try not to think about it

so whats your first memory as a child at xmas? surely its not all bad, we never had any money and only one present each but it were still enjoyable. god its like a dickensian novel this thread.lol
