I'm alright in my job, but I just got an email from a mate saying he was being laid off and two lads I was out with earlier in the week are "at risk". Sorry to hear about folks here having difficulties, particularly those with families to support.

Im sumwhat Nervous as I start my new job on the 5th December...

Im waiting for the call saying that its not happening, and it had better as I am buying a new house an all!

Not yet, but today is my last day in current job, as of monday i'm outsourced and who knows whats gonna happen

We've just been told that a major contract in the middle east has being stopped, so will be informrd of the restructure in my office next week, our other offices have been told a couple of weeks ago that they will have to let 15% go, but it didn't efect the scottish region. Now it does!!!!

Been out of work in the early 90's just after getting married.
Everything worked out ok, In the Ambulance Service now so should be ok??

Yip, confirmed 20% to go in January and I'll be one of them!!!
