Thats very interesting thanks, however i wouldnt use a mouse pad. I would get some thin foam and wrap it and that should do the trick, fail in that i will just trim the standard foam down |

Right this is so simple to lower, im going to do a guide for the org.
ive got the material off by removing the staples. i then took the thick foam off so i was just left with the plastic base. I then stretched some polyester fleece over it and pulled it very very tight and stapled it all away around the edge with no gaps between the staples. i have done this because the plastic base isnt flat it has holes and grooves etc in. now i am left with a strong flat base ready for the foam to be fitted. il update more in a minute |

i have now added a piece of foam and used glue to stick it to the polyester.
once i had done this i trimmed the foam to fit nicely around the edge of the plastic base. When i was happy with this i have just stapled the material back on. i then fitted the seat to the bike and WOW! what an amazing difference this makes i can now move the bike around a hell of a lot easier when im sitting on it plus the seat actually feels more comforatble now because ive used a softer foam. il take a pic shortly of it fitted to the bike. |

It's all about leg measurement and not how tall you are. New lowered seat from Suzuki is 1cm only AFAIK (not much). Think it's about 3 cms if you take the foam out youself or have it done. Start with the seat then dogbones should you need them.

Thanks for all the great responses - a bit of seat DIY sounds about my mechanical limit but that does seem to be quite easy and effective. I'll go try sitting on a few bikes and see how close I am going to get to the floor with an extra 3cm or so. Then I can decide if more drastic measures are needed!

Heather
I have some Daytona Ladystar boots, like Luckypants said, these specifically are made with an inbuilt sole and make me approx 3" taller and enable me to put my foot down better. I have the lowered seat also which give me 1cm extra (not alot) but the seat is cut out a little so your legs sit closer to the bike and changing foot on floor position. Lastly, I think the black framed pointys are a little lower than the silver K3 and K4 models so may be worth trying a newer bike. PM me if you need any more help ! Sorry are pics of seat still needed as I have been working and no playing ! I will pop to my Mums later if so and take some to down load. Sorry

![]() ![]() Not cheap at over £250 but cheaper than dropping ya bike if you loose ya footing on uneven ground/gravel, plust consider you spend on average £150 on normal pair of boots anyway .... I think they are worth the money.

Daytona make what are regarded as the best bike boots on the market, they aren't cheap but they last forever. I've had a pair of their Roadstar GTXs (Similar to the Ladystar and M-Star) for 7 years and done well over 70,000 miles in them, they are just about in need of a resole now. Daytona will rebuild your old boots for 40% of the cost of a new pair. That means a resole, new Goretex lining and foot bed and new zips.
Shelly, it was just the K3 that had a taller seat height. Your bike is a K4 and has the lowered subframe same as my K5. Only difference is yours has a silver frame. |

Closer to 2" but it makes a huge difference to those with shorter legs. It certainly makes the choice of bikes you can ride much wider.
The boots are cleverly made so you don't actually see the built up part, it's hidden away inside. From the outside they just look like normal good quality bike boots. |
