Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).![]() |

The people that use it. It's what makes it what it is.
Every now and again there are a few people who join that seem to want to make it like visordown where any topic goes and anything can be said. Just accept this forum has rules. They are namby pamby rules which say you have to be nice to everyone all of the time. If you don't want those rules, go f'k off elsewhere where no one will complain about what you write. It's not rocket science. Why people feel they can join a well established forum with pre-determined rules and then complain about them, or try to change them, or bend them as much as possible, I don't understand. To me that smacks of not caring about the people on it. Oh. Back to my original point. It the members themselves that make the forum and the moderators that do a damn fine job trying to keep it that way. |

I love the Org because I have learned so much about my bike, even though I can't ride it yet. Thanks to Yorkie Chris there, also thanks to Soulkiss who has helped me with the computer a couple of times when Linux defeated me.
I have met some real oddbods (who really are lovely) like Gid and Hovis. I get to discuss my love of Geeky Sci -fi with the legendary Star Trek Steve. Shellywoozle strikes me as a really lovely Lass and Ed strikes me as a top bloke. Razor always seems very cool and funny and Lozzo strikes me as being a God of Lurve (because I heard that he has a nice ...) Infact, I do not think I have exchanged a harsh word with anyone. By the way, I learned that I had bought the best type of SV thanks to this forum. Bless you Orgers and Bless the Silver pointy, the fastest SV in the West! |

i find it very easy going and nobody takes themselves too serious. it can be quite informative too. there are also times when a little harmless flirting takes place.
its like visiting your local pub where you can meet a real cross section and have a pleasant chat. |
