Screw churches...... Old hat and requires christening....

We did look at Leeds castle, but £5k for a room in the castle wasn't exaclty what we were after...

Santorini in Greece maybe? MUCH cheaper, hot, sunny, great views.....????

I used to work at weddings too, and suprisingly it was a rare occasion to actually get a really hot girl that looked good Usually the bridesmaids were the hotties...

But, theres so many options now to get married, i think it more religion and tradition the churchs is still popular...

But theres so much better these days imo.

We got wed because we wanted to.

4 good friends invited to the local registry office. Damm when we got there 2 of her sisters and her dad were there waiting.

that buggered things up well. We were skint and doing things on a budget. No reception there was only supposed to be 6 of us. but I had booked lunch in the private dining room at the local golf club.

So a quick phone call to add a further 3 places. and a loan of £150 from the best man to pay for the extra guests.

So the waiter comes round and asks my new father in law if he wants white or red. F*ck off he says I want a beer. Embarrassed was I.

I still think that one day I may just give her the fancy wedding she always wanted if we ever get round to renewing our vows

I'm getting married 05/07/10 at a Golf and Country club. Having the ceremony and reception there. Will be relatively cheap, compared to the claimed 'average' cost of £12-15k.

I'm getting married because I think its right to be married when you have children. I dont see the point in getting married for the second time, once you've had children, but then thats probably the only time you'll be able to afford it, but each to their own.

can someone explain why having children is a reason to get married?.....

someone mentioned that its for a stable environment? whaaaat?

married parents who beat ten bags of ****e out of eachother is not a stable environment no?

non married parents who love eachother dearly and are happy thus creating a happy environment for a child is surely better??....

meh.,..

I want to get married as I am madly in love, could not imagine loving or caring for anyone half as much as I do my chap and want to dedicate the rest of my life to building a wonderful life together and raising a family.

All of the above i.e happiness and family can be done without marriage, however it is something I want. I am a christian and believe making vows to each other is so special.

Diamo - you can slate me now, im all ready for ya!
