Called them up. They are replacing it with a Remanufactured one.
So I ask if that will come with a years warranty...nope!!! The warranty is from the date of purchase!!! So I managed to haggled 3 months extra warranty but am still not happy.

First of all the box they shipped my PS3 back in was made of cardboard and had no protection whatsoever (this is what Im blaming my PS3 breaking again on).
I will be without a console for 4 weeks now as they can't get one to me til the 12th.
Im getting a remanfactured one so I don't know the history of it.

I raise these inconvienience points with them and what they are going to offer as good will and they say the good will is the 3 months warranty (which I think is a **** take not a gesture of good will).

The guy was alright actually and went to his supervisors to see what they would authorise as goodwill and they refused point blank!!!

I said I am going to email Sony directly but cannot find an email address to complain to!!! This is nuts!!! Anyone know how to contact people from sony not just the technical support people???

Id send a letter, not an email. Emails can be too easily deleted....Maybe its just me but I always get a response for things if I send a letter compared to an email.

Doesnt your warranty book or any sort of paperwork which came back with your "repaired" PS3 have a number? Ring that and demand an address. Or pop into a Sony shop.

When my laptop went kerpult, I found them rather helpful

You dont "play xbox" - you play "with", or possibly "on" an xbox
