has anyone wired these into the ignition? mine are directly wired to the battery but i keep running the battery down, and now ive dropped my bike trying to jump start it i think i should wire themup properly!! i have been told that if you splice them into say the headlight it will hamper the performance of the light..?

any advice is appriciated
thanks
Toby

You want to relay them off another system- headlight or sidelight is ideal. Don't just wire it straight into another part of the wiring loom (if you must, the horn + is suitable, but it's better to put it on its own loop.

Maplins is your best bet. Or Halfords will have them, by the lights and horns, but the relay they usually stock is really unreliable.
