I'm getting a spare set of fairings done up when my February bonus comes in. I was thinking a pearl white with two black stripes down the middle, anyone have any better ideas?

I think the latter would need a big fairing to work, I saw a GPZ of some sort with a variation on this once, meatball at the front and bottom of the fairing and the "beams" running right out along the length of the bike, it was superb... Looked fantastic and thematically spot on. Very striking. I decided against it in the end largely because it'd be the masking job from hell, and the stripes were hard enough

I don't really like that camo. But an arctic camo could look good, the whites and greys...

I'm rather torn as I'm not to sure if the combat look will work, but I also like the whole plan style. I would love to go for a Bomber 'logo' on the tank, but if I Japanese then they never did that. It was more the us and the Yanks that did that look, though saying that all this has come from this one helmet KBC and its whole style.
I love that Land of the rising sun look and I've seen it before myself, but yes, it would be a right bugger to get painted and you really need to have a big fairing, unless you keep it to the tank or something. As for the Zero, its a nice simple design, grey/white colour, nice big red circle, white tail lines, and some odd bits of text saying 'Danger/squadron' and stuff.

I love Canyonchaser's bike, it's a bit too clean/tidy for the jeep theme though... If I was him I'd have shot the bike with a silver first, then applied the green, and then sanded through the green on the exposed edges to give the impression of metal showing through worn paint- nice trick I've seen used on some bugs. And maybe matted the paint, too. But still, it's ace:




Ah, there's a Mustang-based silver one, which I can't find, and a nice "shark mouth" pointy in blue.
