I took him in at 7:45 this morning and at 4pm he still hadn't gone to theatre. I think there was probably a bit of a sense of humour failure on his part by this time, not only because he hasn't had anything to eat or drink since yesterday tea time. I've just phoned the hospital and he has gone now but he's not back on the ward yet. I'll ring back in an hour or so and see whats happening.

Poor chap.... I'd have been evil in his place. Must have food or I get very crabby?

I'm back at home, been back for a little while, but had the parental unit round making a fuss.

Successful op, I now have a titanium plate holding the end of my radius together. Big bonus is no plaster cast so once the swelling / bruising goes down I can start on getting the movement back into my wrist and I can have a shower again I so hate having baths !!
