From the comments on the article.
"At least they didn't run into any innocent bystander. You play with matches and you are sure to get burnt."

My thoughts exactly. Also, you have to be pretty carp to manage to lunch youself on some traffic lights on a 125.

I dunno. I wouldn't expect my family and friends to show any sympathy if I hurt myself nicking someone's pride and joy. Therefore I have no sympathy for his family who could have maybe taught him some morals.

Well put there.

I'm not sure about other peoples opinions, but if YOUR bike was stolen, your bike that you have paid for, got a licence to ride, got insurance to be legal, and spent your life actually working for what you get, would you not be happy if the guy who stole it would get seriously hurt? They are scum. My mountain bike was stolen about 4 years ago, the bike that i paid for from a paper round wage. I would be more than happy to find out the scum that stole it seriously injured himself on it!

Complete n0bheads that they are for nicking it, no-one deserves to die in a vehicle crash, let alone a motorbike one. Surely you lot would think that more than anyone? It deserved to come off and be severely injured, close to death even, just to teach it a lesson and realize that riding like ****s on bikes ain't big or clever, however anyone dying that young for mere theft is terrible. He did something wrong yes but that doesn't mean he deserves to have his life taken from him.

Don't get me wrong, I am certainly not standing up for the lowlives, but just think, if it was your son who had stolen it and crashed horrifically, wouldn't you just forget it was stolen at all and be distraught? Or will you all be saying you'd gladly disown your child if you found out they'd stolen a motorbike?
