For about 1000£ or Euros you could get an old curvy SV ex import in good running order here.20% tax adds 200£ to that and off you go.Surely Holland cant be that much dearer than here for that sort of bike?

Dont want the curvy one. I know that mechanically there is little difference. However im intending to keep this bike a very long time and i find the curvy one absolutely hideous!!!! Sorry to those people that have them thats just my opinion.
Was considering a Honda SP2 instead but im not too keen on heavy bikes and its a little large in my opinion. |

Magnus, for the price of that crashed one you should be able to get an uncrashed one of the same age / mileage if you wait and look around. Please don't buy the crashed one!
Try MCN website http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikesforsale/? for used bikes too |

once you've budgeted in getting the frame checked for straightness and all of the obvious work that you already know about you are looking at the same amount for a nearly new, or even brand new bike with a known history, warranty and no work to do.
Its probably worth more in seperate bits than it is 'complete'. If it was me I wouldnt bother other than for spares. If it were a low mileage engine I would give them £1000 maximum. But as it isnt low mileage £750. Dont get emotionally attached to it, there are plenty of better bikes to choose from. |

That is really expensive for what it is, I'd have a look at the For Sale section on this website, there are often good deals to be had, then import it. Leave the crashed one well alone.
I am also almost as tall as you and I find my unfaired pretty comfortable apart from the seat. |

yep, walk away, too much damage to the bits that matter the most! bike used parts are expencive too so this aint going to be a cheap project.
