Genie, aii a bit in common, but no wedding bells and kids for me just yet. Getting married appears to cost muchos £££ and that means less money for cars / bikes! Still, I'm sure I'll be joining the happy club of married folk soon enough!

Thanks for the advice on the chain too, any idea how I can tell if it's an 'O' ring sealed chain? Apparently it makes a difference...?!

Also, can anyone tell me if the bike has a standard rear end? I'm thinking it needs a tail tidy to sort it out a bit.

Thanks again for the welcomes guys and girls, nice place this, I'll be sticking around!

Lovely bike.

The chain will be an o-ring, or perhaps an x-ring, which have rubber parts so you have to be careful to avoid certain solvents. You can buy various chain cleaners, but paraffin is generally accepted an excellent cheaper alternative.

There are cleaning guides around the internet, but it's basically a case of getting a rag soaked in your chosen cleaner (and perhaps a spray bottle) and wiping the chain down and then cleaning off the gunk with a clean rag
