I don't mind it... Painting the frame is what tips it over the edge.
Want to talk about ugly... To my mind the SV is butt ugly with the black anodised frame, black wheels, black everything. It is such a miserable non-colour when it is overused. Its Goth designers were probably in a state of depression. The earlier pointies and all of the curvies were much better looking bikes. When I find the time, it's coming apart for refinishing. As others have said, the colour scheme is pants, but I do quite like that.
