Well I won't be able to get ther till after 6 as I have lectures till then, I'm still reluctant to go. As I've said I'm not in pain. I might ring up for an emergency appointment with the doc tomorrow.

Thanks for the helpful advice everyone, much appreciated.

It's really best to pop down to A&E, a couple of hours with a good book is a small price to pay for peace of mind, its not like a cut, you cant see what's rubbing or what its doing to the surface of your eye.

The worry is, that if you do have something, it *could* scratch your eye more leaving it in. You can try yourself flushing it out, but tbh it's easier when someone else does it.

If it's been there over 24 hrs with no miprovement, I'd get seen. It's not in any way an emergency, just to prevent any damage. Have you done anything recently where you could have got something flying into it, like dirt/stone/a chip of something?

Go to A+E babe, I know it's a bad time but it's not worth the risk. I should know I've had loads of crap in my eyes, it always hurts and the damage shows from time to time.

Aber is pretty windy and there's usually some fine dust/grit floating about just to get you when you least expect it.

I'd go to a&e-honestly, if it was a bit of grit it could end up scratching your eye and hurting even more in the long term.

If you go now you'd miss beer o'clock and stabnight

Just got home and not been to A&E, me ma has advised Optrex which someone mentioned here so will get some in the morning. Will have to find the time as have to be at uni for 10

It's getting sore now, reddened eyeball and bottom lid

The only chance I have tomorrow to get to a&e will be after 1 in the afternoon, dammit.
