CV carbs, a washer is same effect as not opening the throttle as far.

I get rather over-excited (almost to the point of clapping, but that's not good while riding) if I get to 100 miles before the petrol light has started to flicker.
Usually starts coming on at about 90-95, but can be as low as 85. Most I've ever got before the light was 120 (but that was motorway rather than town riding). Mind you my petrol light does have a problem with making decisions, so it takes about 10 miles for it to decide it really does want to be on (and no, I'm not talking about it flashing). Jo |

when i was restricted (pointy k5) it was just swap the ecu, and when commuting i still got around 100 miles before the light came on,
full power commuting, about 90 then the lights on, but A and B roads restricted, i'd seen 150ish before the light came on. i think if the bike is pointy the suzuki ecu is the best way to restrict it. |

I got slightly more I think with ecu in, but usually 140-150 full power.

when my carb'd bike was restricted, i was getting at least 120 miles before the light, and as much as 155 miles before the light came on.
Unless your going full throttle everywhere (why?) and revving the nuts off the bike (restricted SV's are usefull up to about 7500 rpm...no point in going higher), then you should be getting similar.... |

Dont rev the balls off it, no point, it seems to be nice and torquey below 7/8, dont spend prolonged periods above that rev range..
Dont go full throttle everywhere... Not good for my license.. |

in which case, maybe you can get the throttle bodies balanced (synchronised?) to check everything is ok there. else, buy a carb'd bike and put in the washers and have an economical bike
curvys rule!!! |
