Definitely not allowed unless there is a contraflow cycle lane!

Yes you can.

Your household contents insurance can sometimes be used to cover a third party in some circumstances, also british cycling via the everyday cycling website offer insurance for £24 a year...

Highway code
You MUST obey all traffic signs and traffic light signals.

[Laws RTA 1988 sect 36 & TSRGD reg 10(1)]

As road user they have to obey the law.
But cyclists, not all are a law to them self. The time has come for them to have insurance and compulsory cycling training.
Should sue the pants off him.

I've got no problem with the insurance.

But why should I have to shell out for cycle training.

I've had a car driving license since I was 17 and I also hold a motorycle license and have done so for 5 years.

How many times do you see car drivers, bus drivers, lorry drivers, motorcycle drivers doing something stupid and they all have licenses, It doesnt solve anything.

The Police shoudl be out there hitting these tw*ts who dont follow the road laws where it hurts, either confiscate their bikes or fine the feck out of them.

Why should I have to pay because somebody else cant show a bit of common sense...

If something is already illegal then there's no point in creating more laws about it. A concept which the current regime fail to grasp...

Davis Cameron did that - it wasn't him was it?
I'm surprised someone from York fell for that one. Lights, traffic lights, one way streets, signals & common sense are not optional, they're prohibited!
By the way, gws

you had already resorted to violence when you "jumped on his front wheel"

No, violence would be jumping on his head.

no laws on it they still have to follow the high way code - if he had no lights he probably didn't have a warning device like a bell either so he is completely in the wrong. Also to call you a nob if a bit harsh. he could of missed you like anticipating what might happen like motorbike riders do all the time.
