It's bearable when commuting but I got a cold after the last weekend :/

Any ideas what else I could use? I'm thinking a neck scarf + a new neck tube, or to wear something with a high collar or a hoodie underneath?

What do you think?
Instead of a whole jacket, can't you just buy something for the neck? an elasticated neck tube worn outside the jacket collar should seal the gap.

That's what I did, but I have a bit of trouble with it (see post #7).

Aye, that's what I was thinking of, but the conversation drifted towards a different jacket.

Seems nuts to spend on a whole jacket just for one little niggle. None of my jackets have covered the neck particularly well, hence i have a selection of neck wear, from full balaclavas to light summer tubes. I didn't really get on with the cruise storm collar, didn't use it even when it was -2.

I bought a Cruise Jacket/Pant combo 9 months back and it's been brilliant. So far it hasn't leaked 1 drop despite the winter trying it's best to force it's way through.
The detachable neck ruff is a great addition and makes the suit even more weather proof as it tucks up pretty close underneath the helmet.
The liners actually keep you warm and can be quickly and easily removed. The vents (Of which there are 6 on the jacket, 2 arm, 2 front, 2 back, 2 on the pants, mid thigh) also actually work flowing enough air to keep the temp down on all but the hottest summer days.
The pants also feature a detachable body section (Fleece lined) with braces for even more warmth and a very secure 'feel' to the suit.

All in all, a great (though pretty expensive) suit, that so far I've yet to find fault with.

Even at list price it's worth the money. I'm still well chuffed I managed to get the whole suit for 350 quid.
