Well apart from the nice smoothness of that CG

I want it done by summer. I passed the theory test last year Runs out May 2010 so will be a complete waste if I don't at least try for the bigger test by then. Ideally I'd like to go down the DAS route but I'm not entirely sure money situations will allow

I did most of my learning and crashing on 2-strokes back when I was 16/17, and aside from landing myself in hospital for 9 months in total after planting a KE100 Kawasaki through the front door of a packed pub, it was all good fun. Strokers are great if you like learning how things work, and enjoy a bit of an adrenaline rush on a regular basis.

I'm not helping much, am I?

No you are Adrenaline rush sounds about right, I'd be in a slight predicament if I didn't enjoy those when riding about with YC I'd probably be a gibbering wreck! (Only joking hun )

I shall avoid populated areas at all costs Well populated by humans at least, sheep had better look out!

The reason I crashed was because I was about 4 or 5 times over the legal DD limit. At the time I was 19, and was out celebrating the birth of my eldest daughter. That crash taught me many lessons, but mainly that alcohol and motorised vehicles are not a good combination.

I was spared a driving ban, because I was rushed into the accident theatres as soon as I arrived at hospital and wasn't expected to make it through the night. The Police officers attending the crash went home and took up the case the next day, when they then found out I was still in a coma. As they couldn't gather evidence against me there was no case to put forward. As it was I wasn't fit to drive for 12 months anyway, so I effectively banned myself.

The pub did bar me, but I ignored it

Na, learn on it. I learnt how to ride on a KMX125, and a DT50, and then a honda XL125 (ok, its a four-stroke...but it had almost no oil in it. we didnt know this at the time. it was a ticking bomb...)

I learnt on a2 stroke 125, I don't think you'll have a problem at all they're not vicious. As for engines seizing if you look after it and put in decent oil it will last fairly well, I didn't and the bloody thing seized when I was doing about 70mph.
