Thanks all for your comments of abuse against he idiot
![]() The police registered both leaving the scene of an accident, and also passed it on to the criminal justice department... they said if it was just the one bump that would be one thing, but the fact that he hit me a further two times turned it from an accident to a criminal act. Christ - if I hit a biker in my car I'd be bloody thankful he stayed upright... why go back and try again?!?! Will call the insurance company tomorrow - was too late when I got home tonight. I'm pretty resigned to nothing happening, but the police said they'd be checking all cameras and CCTV in the area, so fingers crossed they do. I don't think the trap I was going through went off, but then I was going at an indicated 50 (so probably about 45) so he could easily have been going an indicated 60 without it going off ![]() |

I'm not hurt at all, was just really shaken, and then really ****ed off that he wouldn't pull over.
Bike looks fine, though will get it checked. I've got a tail tidy, so the back wheel is the furthest thing back on the bike. It's not actually the first time I've been hit from behind - I was waiting at a junction when a clio bumped me, but only very lightly (such that I just thought I'd stalled it). At least the guy checked I was ok that time though! |

I love how in this country you get done for creeping over the speed limit but you do something insane like trying to murder someone on a bike and the police aren't interested. Sad little world we live in.

If it were me id put up a mock police notice asking witness' to phone you/police!
Unbelievable!!! All the best in the persuit for justice! Toss*r deserves at least his licence banned for a while as that will have the greatest affect - as hes driving a merc im sure he'd happily pay the fine! But not bieng able to drive to work would seriously dent his wallet! Just glad you and the bike are ok matey! All the best. |

Don be too sure. Adrenalin can take a good long time to leave your system fully, you could wake up a lot stiffer than you expect. And no, not like that, lol. Seriously tho, back pain can easily be caused by that kind of a shunt.

Will see how I feel in the morning. What's the best plan for getting the bike checked? It seems to ride fine, but I guess it's worth being sure.
Should I just take it to my localish Suzuki dealer (Steve Jordan Bookham/P&H Crawley) |

Mum rolled into somebody at 0.01mph it must have been because she went to move forward as the car in front had crossed the white line at the roundabout, and somebody claimed for whip lash against her. They investigated the bumper of my mum's car to check for damange (in 100% honesty it was as it had been) and the bloke said it looks as good as new. They may want to check your bike from their perspective, as it will have left a dirty mark on that BMW if your moving at approx 45mph to 50mph. Best of luck with getting this bloke what he deserves. |

![]() Doesn't have to be a Suzuki dealer.. any bike dealer should be able to check it for you. If you're just checking the alignment, you could take it to an MOT tester, explain what happened and ask if he could check the alignment of the wheels. Definitely worth getting a professional to check it over if you're not 100% what to look for |

Minimum charge is likely to be £57.50 for an hours work and the only thing I can think they would check would be wheel Alignment. I know tey do that check as part of a complete suspension set up - shame there's not much adjustment on the SV or you could have gone down that route. |
