![]() As for the box of bricks...well if it was trying to get an octopus off the floor using a shovel i'd have more fun. Or maybe a box of frogs, even. Ive always heard someone described as being "as mad as a box of frogs" so i'd love to see how mad a box of frogs really is. And 5am is fine if you pay me by the hour....and bring a box of frogs to help keep me awake ![]()

I have to say, that for anyone who went last year...do not think you're getting the same again...it's huuuuge!
Loads and loads of traders - the main marquee where Zig and I set up is five or six rows of stands wide. There was one guy with eleventy-million Shoei helmets (bargain to be had there I guess), and just loads of other stands. A stand full of bike jeans, another jammed with race suits, and that was just next to us. The bike comms folks are there for anyone thinking of getting a set. Others include Infinity, Hein Gericke, Ace Cafe, and a stand with a squillion textile jackets. Didn't see or can't remember more For side attractions, Zig spotted the wall of death, but to be honest, fuelled only by Big Macs and Dr Pepper, we took all the time we had available wrestling with the stand fittings, so did not get a good look around. I know I don't get to see much of shows when I am there (and, don't get me wrong, this is not on the scale of something like the BMF), but for a free show, I think it could be very, very good. I hope a number of you folks drop by over the weekend (especially Sunday, predicted to be the busier, when I have just one glamorous assistant - no, not Spidey). Just call by, say hello, hug me and tell me to stress less ![]() Jo |

Just to add....
The layout of the show has changed a bit (i.e. it's a lot bigger) so 'behind the stand' storage has gone, but for any Soho types that want to dump their lids/bags, I should have enough space in the stock area to put them away from prying eyes. Just come over. If you go through main marquee entrance, cut straight across two rows, then go left a bit, or if you come from the entrance opposite the statue, walk 50 yards and I'm on the right - either way - just look for two Girlsbike2 flags high in the air (Zig cable-tied them..so I'm hoping the are still attached in the morning ![]() I'm happy to store your stuff while you have a walk about ![]() ![]() Jo |

The show does look well worth attenidng, I may even pop down tomorrow and scope it out cos as Jo says i was busy ligging boxes of frogs here and there and didgly cable tying flags here there and everywhere.
There are deffo a good few stands there with shed-loads of stock so i;m guessing/hoping bargains can be had on the Sunday. So far the preliminary plan is to meet at the Ace about 10ish, have a bit of brekkie and then go over to the show. So who else is up for it?

As I mentioned, got a few things to do, but they are movable so I'll aim for the Ace Sunday.
Cheers Mark.

I will be going to the show direct from house, its a bit quicker I aim to be there before 10am. I would also do twice the distance, as well. Quickest way from the Ace is A406 and round to the A41. However some parts of the road are closed off, or were when I was at the site last month. So you may have to take the long way round, more than two years later they are still fixing the bridges!
One of my other friends is gonna met me down, his taking his cbt soon so he needs kit. See y'll Sunday am. |
