Supersport 600's get going at about 10K mate. Just pin the ******* till its screaming. If you've not done it much you'll get a shock. My ninja 600 does over 70 in first then just under a ton in second. In fact you can only use the first 3 gears in anger on the roads imo.

Back on topic, i reakon the 675 would whoop the thou in the twisties and be a closer match in a drag race but with the right person riding the 675 it could win that too!!!

They really go mental at about 10 -11k. Just give it a go, second gear on a clear straight road.

8k kwak... That's pretty much a third into the power, you should have plenty more.. My 675 gets about 88 or more in second..

Reason I asked is that some guy at work was at the bar banging on about how he can beat this and beat that.. So I just suggested a race betwen the two of us with 50 quid on the line..

His theory is that because his is a thou he would win.. On that basis I accepted gracefully..

Just needed some org input.. My 675 does 168 max. I can reach 70 in seconds and just feel relatively confidant about thrashing the pants off of him lol

as long as you're not a lardarse and it's not a 50mph top gear roll on I can't see you having problems

Aye in a drag race type situation I would expect the 675 to almost walk it, as long as you can launch it properly. an SV 1000 will win a lot of traffic light grand prix though, as anyone can launch an one litre v twin

Me mate has an MT01 and I can rarely beat him off the line on the ninja as it has so much stomp and you need to launch the ninja at 9k or so to beat him.

Theres your problem, its only just getting into the swing of things about there........the 600rr will rev to 15.5krpm with the speedo indicating at over 100+mph......the gsxr wont be that much different

I think he is telling porky pies......there surely no way he has not rev'ed it right by now, if you have 100% genuinely NEVER taken it over 11krpm you will probably be shocked at the extra rush over power all the way to the limiter.

I'm pretty certain you must have done this already though
