I told my Girlfriend that if she ever gave me the choice between bike or her it would be bike hands down. That was at the beginning of the relationship - been together well over a year now.

Everyone should use that sort of disclaimer

Hahaha.......When Stretchie wanted the Fireblade, I kind of fell in love with it too.....together we covered 3000 miles in 5 weeks on that thing...until he killed it on a road in Wales! When he then had to get another bike....having Rick, the then owner of the Blackbird take me out on it and show me how quickly the needle moved from *0 to *6*.......and then did the same with Stretchie.....we were both a little scared, but he got it and went straight to AR08 with it....still going strong!

Now, as most of you know, he has bought me a Babyblade.....what's the trade off on that I hear you say???

Women are so far superior.....why would I trade with anything I have to spend my money on??? I'll pay him alright, but I won't need to go to the bank........lol

I dont understand this trade-off thing.

Why would you need to bargain with your other half to get anything?

Don't get it.

SK its all done with humour, all done as a bit of fun, keeps life more interesting. my mrs didnt get a patio cos i got a bike at all. we had some "spare" money, she said i want a patio i said i want a bike. one had nothing to do with the other.

well, thats my take on it anyway

That was a much better way of saying what I was trying to. If I get something for Dan.....he says thanks and I may get some extra cuddles and vice versa, but when he wanted the blade and the blackbird...his money, up to him....same with me. We talk about it of course but would never tell eachother how to spend our money.

The same applies to me and matt.

If he wants something, he can have it as long as its his money. If I want something, I'll have it as long as its my money.

If we make a big purchase such as a new TV or something, we'll talk about it and discuss it in terms of whether its a good purchase and good value for money. If its something we both really want, we'l go halves.

TBH I dont think its very fair if your other half says you can have something on the condition that they get something in return
