Hi i also have an SV with a META fitted, wish i had not put it on, had the bike 2 years no probs, now it is flat every time i come to use it. The Optimate shows it is fine but nothing happens apart from the click click. Are we saying it needs a new battery?

Just go for a new battery (or try to borrow a decent working one first).
I had a similar problem, just turned out to be a rubbish battery.
