Steel bolts into nice soft (and thin) aluminium stubs - if the bolt's goosed the clutch centre usually is too.

I did check a couple of times... I probably got it wrong.
Fortunately it was the bolt that gave way and not the aluminium. The threads are good, but then they are M6x25mm bolts so it had a lot of weedy aluminium to pull against so I was luck in that respect. For the record I tried 30nm. Thought thats got to be wrong so I just did them hand tight + 1/4 turn and thats when one popped off. ![]() |
