do the dirty jobs first, like cleaning your chain etc.etc. then wash bike from TOP to BOTTOM of bike then polish paintwork from TOP to BOTTOM of bike this stops the grit and other bits of nasty getting to the nice paintwork. then grease linkages and chain.
i use a jetwash on medium setting for things like the swingarm and nooks 'n' crannies to get rid of the nasties... |

Bibio, I reckon you know what you're doing. Most wouldn't, so I advise a jetwash near a bike is a bad idea, it ends up washing grease out of bearings and wetting electrics everywhere.
