Pah dont restrict a motor if you dont have to. Let it breath! The difference between restricted and not is MASSIVE. Full power is so much easier to ride imo...

Bad. They run loads better when you thrash the buggerance out of them.

UPDATE: Just got the bike back from the Suzuki garage. It had been restricted, thankfully with a washer kit – which is now jingling in my pocket. Went extremely well on the way home, so I'm delighted. Thanks for all the advice, everyone who contributed.

As an aside, I was impressed with JW Groombridge at Cross in Hand, Sussex. They derestricted the bike, and did an annual checkover and service, for just under £140. I think it's pretty good value from a main dealer; more importantly, they seem to have taken the kind of care with the bike that I'd hope for.
