shame you dismiss the ER6 - comfy as hell for both rider and pillion

whatever bike you get you can fit wider bars and risers. The older ZX6 (first 636 engine) was supposed to be comfy but not sure on pillion. Otherwise the Kwak Versys, ugly as it is, it a great tourer and pillion ride

A Bandit is not a step up from an SV unless you get the 1250. Much more comfortable, but no quicker, etc. I have had both at the same time and ridden them back to back, alternate days, etc. Different bike for a different purpose, but not better or worse.
BMW F800ST, or any Honda, if your worried about corrosion. I know they look awful but a Dullsville will give you what you are after. |

They are chalk and cheese, couldn't be more different. Things i like when i'm on the Fazer are: - Comfy, its all-day comfortable with a nice sit up position and feels a bit more substantial and stable than the SV - Once in the second half of the tacho, it picks up quicker than the SV and is a lot faster in all. Not keen on the engine at the low end though, its too quiet and sounds a bit sewing machine'ish, feels a bit like riding a 50cc at low speed. So i'd say if you like the SV engine, it'll be a shock how gutless the Fazer is at low revs. Saying that though, its good bike and i'd have one for the comfort and practicality. I'd assume a few days of riding it and the engine would no longer be an issue once i'd got used to it. Test rode a Bandit once and that was just 'meh'. Didn't do it for me. +1 with fast druid
![]() ![]() If your going to try a fazer then you need to try the thou. The 600's need revving allot like previously said but the thousands are meant to have plenty of midrange torque for the about town stuff and then past 8k then the R1 motor takes off.... i have never ridden one mind but im tryijng to get a test ride this weekend. Will let you know how it goes. Take a look at this http://www.motorbikestoday.com/revie..._fazer1000.htm |
