Exactly! You'd have to 'carbon-fibre-ise' the whole bike and then some to get the same weight saving!

or at least make sure you have a big poo/don't have a big meal before riding your bike

Have you ever weighed poo? (it doesn't weigh that much ) So you would have to be pretty backed up down there for it give a real perfomance advantage

no, surprisingly i haven't . i wonder how much/what you'd have to carbon-fibre-ise to make the same weight saving as a poo....

You know, I think they should come up with a rating system for carbon fibre add-ons based on poo savings. At least then you could "weigh up" whether to spend the money on CF or nip off to the loo instead.

The carbon thing has got to be less it more though IMO the tank in CF is awsome but if I were to have lowers/nose cone etc then I dont think I could stomach the whole lot as CF.

That tank with half and half is very very nice.

sorry just reading luke and sarah's posts...
Yeah love the tank, wouldn't want a whole CF bike though.

One of the nice things about having a tank cover is that it is relatively cheap to get a cover without having to make the entire thing petrol tight etc.

I like the air-tubes and cover on our NC35 but they are purely cosmetic[1].
