Also remember vista 32 bit cannot see 4Gb ram. If it was me would try to go for less ram maybe even smaller hdd and try to get a seperate graphics card. If you need more storage external hdd are around 50-60 for 320Gb.

I've got a 1 year old HP and the screen's bust, power cord broke and had to be replaced, scroll bar breaks every so often, volume bar on the top has broken, the HP addons are useless, the DVD player by HP is full screen so whenever you press the button by accident you have to wait for it to load and then close it which usually disrupts things you're doing. Worst of all though, the cooling design is absolutely abismal, even being cautious, it can burn a hole in my trousers in 2 minutes flat.
Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. |

Pffft... Dell, HP, Toshiba, Asus, Acer... They're all the same... They're all made in China by the lowest bidder.

They are all as bad as one another, if you want a solid built laptop then you need a laptop using a clevo chassis, however prices generally start at about £1500. Samsung laptops are generally good build. If you want a good bargain for laptops try www.ebuyer.com.
