Yes I know but when I first read this I assumed he was pulling onto the roundabout. Bottom line is nothing was coming and no one got hurt - perhaps if something had been coming he would have "woken up" and seen the red light! People driving cars zone out - fact!
Perhaps the OP was right to go and alert the guy to what he did (although he could have been attacked if the driver was a knife wielding thug so I wouldn't have dared do it) but to dob him in when there was no incident?????? ![]() |

for the reasons RH quoted, I think he was right to do so.
Has anyone else noticed that for once there was a copper who was almost around when you needed them?

When reading the OP I thought that telling the bill was a bit OTT but after REds posts showing the bigger picture I've got to say well done OP. I wouldnt have thought of it that way but your right, it might not be that he ran the light but more about the cause of him running the light.

would it be OTT for the copper to pull him over if he had seen him do it?

So it's ok to sob him in, but not ok for civvy's to point speed guns at you, how would you like it if some one grasses you up every time you messed up.

Anyone who knows Jnct27 of the M62 the new layout of that whole area of Gildersome if you stay up there for longer than 20mins you'll see some emergency breaking and red light runners. It was coas the first few weeks. The breaking areas are more black rubber than they are broken shells. lol. |

i understand the sentiment of reporting him being OTT, but at the same time it is downright dangerous. riding round watford is downright dangerous at the minute.
on one sunday, the space of 15 mins, i got cut up etc no less than 5 times. what was more astonishing was that i was in the car, with my headlights on being very clearly visible. so for that reason and all further examples i will see on my 10 min ride home this avo, i say fair play. the thing that burns me, is that even if you do report it everytime you see it, the chances of there being a copper in the area that is a) available to deal with it or b)can be bothered to do anything about it is absolutely minimal. |
