Replace blinds with wooden ones, get a thicker rug, and put some for of shelving units along the walls and fill them with stuff. This will absorb the sound. Also round items absorb/deflect sound.
You can by sound deadening materials. Dynamat is a good bit of kit designed for the car audio market. Its all about braking up the hard surfaces though. Shelves are good at this. |
