Call it the benefit of experience. and there is too much of the "not my fault, it's someone elses"

If someone has an off due to underinflated tyres, do we not tell them to have checked em first.

Yeah, mate..... but MBK knows that, I'm sure.

Think she just wants a collective "e-hug" from the org

Poor MBK ;(

Compnesation should be easy enough to claim if you have the evidence etc. Demand an upgrade, 1st class, 2 weeks, all inc in the caribbean!

I suggest you wear your "office clothes" MBK when you go in. When I had a problem with a local shop once my dad, who was in the area that day, went in and complained (and I hadn't asked him). He gleefully told me the guys in the shop were literally falling over themselves to help and sort it immediately, probably as he was in uniform.

The idiots in the shop obviously did not read his badge saying Norfolk Fire Service and assumed he was a policeman!!

Don't forget to claim for all costs of your wasted trip, not just the refund on their mistake. That includes your coffee!!!!

Man that would make me annoyed. Sure you should check your documents, but if you have just paid a travel agent to sort something, I think it is a fair assumption to assume that they have done it properly! I'd get very angry and get some serious compensation.

Nic, get down to Thomas Cook with your mate and tell them that you are there to discuss compensation for your lost holiday, travel expenses, holiday pay (they've made you lose holiday entitlement as you've not been able to use it as planned) and any other expenses like coffee!

Tell them you want to discuss it with one of the supervisors and take a seat. Stay there. If they palm you off and say someone will look at it and call you, don't accept it, sit down and wait, you have every right to. They will do something as they will not want a disgruntled customer in the shop where other people are booking holidays.

Say that you didn;t check the paperwork as you saw it all being done on the screen and it all looked fine then.

Good luck chick, it should be fairly easy, but just make sure you don't back down.

Rotten luck hun xxx
