My first day of unrestricted riding began with this test:

Start the bike, kit up and ride gently until warm (I rode for about 10 miles or so...thouroughly warm!). FInd a good bit of straight road. Get up into third gear at about 5000 rpm (40 mph). Open throttle. Wide open. Be amazed at the volume of noise. Then hold on for the power above 7500 rpm revell in having loads more rev's to use

My SV has been restricted since ive owned it, ive never tried full power but have ridden a ZX6R and even then i only used quart throttle like i was on my SV and even then it was a little bit quicker!
