That's why the used the TVR chassis - and it had the same number plate as the TVR.

Surely there has to be some rules where things have to be safe, theres rules regarding things hanging off the back of cars etc and so many other things. I know its all staged but im pretty certain the places they drive round aren't sets lol.

You can do whatever you like to your own car including changing the body, engine etc.
Just have to keep to a few rules like lights etc. and then pass an MOT when due. I'm sure they relied on the TVR's MOT still being valid.
