I havnt read through, but when you filled up with oil, did you run the engine to circulate the oil into all the galleys and oil filter? then re-fill up to the mark in the window? An SV should take around 2700 ml when you fill after also replacing the oil filter, maybe a little more than that

Just checking

As you don't have central heating plumbed in to your garage, you could try one of these little jobbies. http://www.multi-dry.de/index.php?pa...br-wechsel-set.

You can get them from frost.co.uk, but have seen them cheaper on ebay.

I have this set and used them in my Land Rover when I had it - worked a treat at keeping the windscreen de-misted. They take weeks (literally) to dry out on a radiator though, but they do work. I'd suggest getting two and rotating them.

i used to run a dehumidifier in the garage but my door seals when shut so it was effective

I have thought about the effects of condensation on the bike and had a cunning plan.

I asked the wife if I could move her drum kit into the Garage (giving her a practice space that is bigger than our flat) and put the motorbike in the dining area, next to the radiator.

She was surprisingly negative about the idea!

Yeah the drum kit would suffer in the garage if there were condensation problems
