I have used meh for years. Kinda came about when I was going through my "skater rock" stage at high school. I would have been what they call an Emo these days LOL!! Don't use it so much now.

![]() Yes, Medway towns, specifically Chatham. I.E Chatham Chavs... The former word was neds, but now the word chav has spread. A former chav was loaded with bling gold, and loved burberry clothes. Its an over-used word now. |

And also that Wickpedia page is wrong as it was out long before 2005 down here.
No-one I knew up north had heard of the word chav prior to 2000. |

Love it Richie..
Thanks guys a wealth of information as always ![]() I only needed to know as I was trying to describe a CHAV in Portuguese, and obviously they donīt have a word for it. My description was mostly people who are on the dole, wear massive hooped earings, white stilletoes, denim skirt, and wore too much make up. If they are a bloke, well it would be a typical baseball hat wearing youth that also wore a hoodie at the same time with Nike trainers that werent really Nike, but were probably Noke brought/stole from round the corner out of the back of a van. |
