I've got a 160gb Classic - love it, it replaced my old 20gb one when I lost it snowboarding at Glencoe (came a cropper on a jump, both me & my old iPod)

The big appeal to me is not having to faff around each time I want to add / remove tracks - just copy on the lot and be done with it.

Have a look at

http://www.anythingbutipod.com/

it will give you a good idea about what else there is to choose from, the term iPod may be the 'Brand' in a lot of people's eyes but its not the best at everything by any means.

i love my ipod. yes there are other options out there, but for me its a product that just works for me. holds loads of music on it and has a very user friendly interface for scrolling through music and stuff. people slate itunes, but ive never had a problem with it, load up itunes plug ipod into computer, drag and drop music/vids/pics from library into ipod, its syncs then its sorted! once i tunes loaded on computer, stick cd into computer, burn to library (yet to find a cd in my collection that itunes doesnt get the track names and stuff automatically for) then its all there sorted for when i want to listen to it.

yes there may be better products out there, but i find it all simple to use and it work for me!

I've got a 20gb vysus mp3 which I got from Ebuyer 2 years ago for £64. Never filled it up yet.

So won't be buying an Iplayer just yet

I have an iPod touch wish i had got a classic mind, i managed to crack the screen on mine when it fell a foot out of my pocket onto the floor when i was crouched down. With that Pantera CD try ripping using a different piece of software then importing it into iTunes that's what I do with all of my music.
