Yeah that bettery does seem to be big boy! Will see how this one keeps then look into that, maybe if I could borrow yours to see if it fits.....

heated gloves sound nice but the longevity of the grips always appeals to me. By this I mean that the ones I had on the vfr where on for 3 years and not a problem, will prob be on for another 3 at least with it's new owner, I've never had heated gloves so this might be wrong, but they will take some hammer and will surely wear out/rip/split/generally die much quicker with continous use..... This has to be worse for the wallet. Any thoughts from people who have had both grips and gloves?

I suppose you could do. We got a spare one with no Acid in it, so you could fit that in to test...

I've had both. Short rides grips are ok, but the backs of your hands can still get cool/cold.

Long distance cold weather riding heated gloves thrash the **** out of grips.

As long as you only use the gloves when you really need to then they should last well. I dont think you can tell I used my gloves through a couple of winters and best part of 10k miles.
