That's why I favour a girlie type bumbag. All the potentially dangerous sharp and not so sharp things are in an easily rip-offable pouch, thus hopefully stopping a pelt perforation.

Sounds like it slid down the road on the lever and bar end. Check bars are straight, steering lock stops undamaged, and forks still straight in the yokes.

Textiles, gloves & helmet seem relatively unscathed, but will have to give a good hosing to make sure. Amazing how much mud was sticking to the bike: it felt a bit strange but reckon that was mainly due to about 3kg of mud stuck to the rear wheel rim. Will inspect closer tomorrow.
