3-4K in town, on fun + twisty roads wherever it feels best, 5K - 8K at a guess, boring roads in top gear as much as poss to skinflint the petrol.

Around london, I try and keep the rpm's around 5000 rpm, so the bike remains somewhat responsive to throttle input If I'm pootling though, keep the revs down. I find my SV engine will happily pull from 2000 rpm when in 2nd gear (but I donlt give it a handlfull, just tickle until the revs have got up a bit)

All depends on what the traffic is like around town.
Sometimes im lazy and hit 8-10k instead of changing up in a little overtake but generally around 5k ish.

I do that and then get caught out by the rev limiter.

4-6k at lower speeds, 6 to redline when having fun...

(my 2007 doesn't seem to make much power in the 3-4k range).

^ i find the same to be honest, apart from when launching from the line, then i keep it about 3.5k-4 but on the other gears it seems to bog down a little but that could be me needing a new air filter and oil/oil filter
