Does it stutter or anything when you try to accelerate on it?

Is the 33bhp restriction at the crank or at the back wheel?

My single cylinder XT600 makes 43bhp at the crank and about 33bhp at the back wheel, it's not restricted, that's just the power they make. But they are a very basic air cooled engine that can go round the world running on any oil and any octane of fuel, and on any road surface, without any problems.

Absolute top speed is a true sat nav indicated 85mph, but the engine is not comfortable there, realistic cruising speed is about 75mph at about 5000 revs. Speed is not what the bike is all about.

I've seen restricted SV's doing a pretty good job of keeping up on some fast rideouts, no way you could do the same on my XT.

So think yourselves lucky it's an SV you're riding, because a lot of other 33bhp bikes are a lot slower!

33bhp is at the back wheel.

Daft question, has it been restricted twice? I heard a similar problem where someone had fitted washers not knowing slides were already fitted.
