They say they do
but if you dont see them do it...

My mate had a set fitted to loose wheels of his fazer, when he had them done, I put them on my balancing stand and they were a mile out. I don't think he even took the weights off from before

I would say to check that you haven't over tightened the stem as this can cause steering wobble

just to add to this, i checked the wheel weights last night and on the left hand side there is a x2 5g and x1 10g and on the right side there is x1 5g and x1 10g ?

surely this should be the same ?

Go through everything
tyre pressures, make sure they're correct
steering head bearings make sure there's no play
check all the adjustments are set the same on both forks
check that stem nut has been torqued down properly

But get your wheel balanaced first

Go through everything
tyre pressures, make sure they're correct - Done this is OK
steering head bearings make sure there's no play - How ?
check all the adjustments are set the same on both forks - Seems to be but not sure if set-up right for my weight though
check that stem nut has been torqued down properly - Don't have the tools

But get your wheel balanaced first

Will it not be the wheel missing wheel weight ?

can I not just add a 5g to match the other side.

Go through everything

tyre pressures, make sure they're correct - Done this is OK - good

steering head bearings make sure there's no play - How - raise the front end off the ground if you can and push/pull forks to see if there's any play. Should be solid, but free to turn

check all the adjustments are set the same on both forks - Seems to be but not sure if set-up right for my weight though - ok

check that stem nut has been torqued down properly - Don't have the tools - just make sure its tight then

But get your wheel balanaced first

Will it not be the wheel missing wheel weight ?

can I not just add a 5g to match the other side - at 90mph you want to be sure that you're wheel is correctly balanced, just addding 5grms because you think its missing is not a sound and safe method of balancing a wheel
So get a garage with the correct equipment to balance it

to check play i head bearings

you can lift the front of the bike (no weight on the front) and turn the forks side to side see if they notch at all if they do they are buggerd, to check for play then pull the stanchion towards you then towards the bike "back an forth" to see if there's any clicks coming from the head bearings, you should be able to hear/feel them if not the bearings are most likley ok

or hold the front brake on and push the bike back and forth you will hear a click noise if there is play in the bearings or get some one to put there hands on top of the stem nut and see if they can feel a click while you rock the bike
